1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Noxart Games Co. (“Noxtica”, “we”, “our” or “us”) uses cookies, browser storage and similar technologies on our websites and in our Services, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

2. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies include:

  • localStorage — browser storage that persists until it is cleared;
  • sessionStorage — browser storage that is cleared when you close the tab;
  • IndexedDB — a browser database that some features can use for temporary buffering; and
  • scripts and pixels that read information from your device.

In this policy, “cookies” covers all of these.

3. Our Consent Banner

Our Noxtica collector, which reads device and browser signals for security and bot detection, has two parts:

  • Core script (strictly necessary, no consent required). The core collector script loads on every page of noxtica.com and our other public websites, including our legal pages, and in the Backoffice. It is strictly necessary to keep our websites and accounts secure and to prevent fraud and abuse. It sets no persistent identifier and writes nothing to cookies, localStorage or IndexedDB; it keeps only a session token in sessionStorage, which is cleared when you close the tab. Only when you submit a protected action (signing in, signing up, sending a contact form or submitting a verification) does it run a minimal device check, which reads a limited set of device and browser characteristics to detect bots and fraud on that action.
  • Extensions (only with your consent). Device recognition, analytics and real-user monitoring, session replay and behavioural signals are provided by a separate extensions script, which is loaded only if you click accept on our consent banner.

On noxtica.com and our other public websites, a consent banner appears on your first visit. If you reject, we remember your choice and do not load the extensions. You can change your choice or withdraw your consent at any time using “Cookie settings” in the website footer; when you withdraw, the extensions stop and the device data they stored in your browser is deleted. The banner is not shown on our legal pages, and the extensions never run on them.

A small script loads with each page to hold page-interaction events in your browser’s memory for up to 60 seconds. Nothing is sent to us from that buffer unless you accept; if you do not accept, it is discarded.

4. Cookies and Storage We Use

4.1 Our Public Websites (noxtica.com and related sites)

NameTypePurposeDuration
noxtica.consent (localStorage)Strictly necessaryRemembers your consent choice and when you made itUntil cleared or you change your choice
noxtica-theme (localStorage)FunctionalRemembers your display themeUntil cleared
Noxtica collector core (sessionStorage session token)Strictly necessarySecurity and fraud prevention on every page, including our legal pages. Holds a session token only and sets no persistent identifier; runs a minimal device check only when you submit a protected action (sign-in, sign-up, contact or verification)Until the tab closes
Noxtica collector extensions storage (cookie, localStorage and IndexedDB)Security and analytics (consent required)Loaded only after you accept. Device recognition (stores a device identifier to recognise returning devices), analytics and real-user monitoring, session replay and behavioural signals for bot detection and site securityUntil cleared or you withdraw your consent

Apart from the collector extensions storage described above, which is used only after you accept, our websites set no first-party cookies of their own. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, provides privacy-preserving web analytics that measure page loads in aggregate without using cookies, and may set strictly necessary security cookies (for example, for bot management or DDoS protection) on requests to our sites.

The demo at demo.noxtica.com uses a strictly necessary, HttpOnly session cookie after you sign in, which expires when your demo session ends.

4.2 Backoffice Dashboard (backoffice.noxtica.com)

NameTypePurposeDuration
__Host-nox_admin_sessionStrictly necessaryKeeps you signed in. HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Strict24 hours
__Host-nox_oidc_tx, __Host-nox_saml_txStrictly necessaryProtect single sign-on logins in progress10 minutes
__Host-nox_cache_fenceStrictly necessaryMakes sure you see your own recent changesAbout 10 seconds
nox_*, noxtica.* and nox.* keys (localStorage / sessionStorage)FunctionalRemember interface preferences (for example, selected organisation, theme, density, language, collapsed menus, table columns, map view, notification read state and assistant session)Until cleared, or until the tab closes for sessionStorage

The Backoffice also shows a consent banner. The core collector script described in Section 3 runs in the Backoffice for security and fraud prevention without your consent, because it is strictly necessary; it sets no persistent identifier and keeps only a session token in sessionStorage. The collector extensions run in the Backoffice only if you accept them.

4.3 Hosted Verification Pages (verify.noxtica.com)

The hosted verification pages set no cookies. They use:

NameTypePurposeDuration
nox.kyc.* and noxtica.kyc.locale.* (sessionStorage)Strictly necessaryResume a verification in progress, track uploads and remember the language you choseUntil the tab closes
Per-verification submission key (localStorage)Strictly necessaryPrevents duplicate submissionsCleared when you submit or cancel
noxtica.verify.theme (localStorage)FunctionalRemembers your display themeUntil cleared

Images captured during verification are not stored in your browser’s storage.

5. Noxtica SDKs on Customer Websites

When our customers deploy our SDKs or collectors on their own websites or applications, the customer decides whether and how they are used and is responsible for obtaining any consent required by law. Depending on the customer’s configuration, the SDK may:

  • store a device identifier in localStorage or sessionStorage to recognise returning devices;
  • buffer events temporarily in IndexedDB (opt-in, capped at 72 hours); and
  • use cookie-based storage if the customer configures it.

Please read the privacy and cookie notices of the website you are visiting, and contact that website’s operator about these technologies.

6. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Our real-user monitoring honours “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control signals sent by your browser. On our own websites, the collector extensions (including real-user monitoring) run only if you accept them on our consent banner. The core collector script described in Section 3 is strictly necessary for security and fraud prevention and sets no persistent identifier.

7. Managing Cookies

  • Our websites: use “Cookie settings” in the website footer to change your choice.
  • Your browser: you can block or delete cookies and clear site data in your browser settings (usually under Privacy or Security). Clearing site data also removes your consent choice, so the banner will appear again.

If you block strictly necessary cookies or storage, parts of the Services (for example, signing in to the Backoffice or completing a verification) will not work.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated version with a new “Last Updated” date and version number and, where the change requires it, ask for your consent again.

9. Language; Controlling Version

Only the English version of this Cookie Policy is legally valid and binding. The controlling version is the English text published at https://noxtica.com/cookies. Any translation of this document (including any machine translation) is provided for reference purposes only, does not have any legal value, should not be relied upon as a legally binding document, and creates no obligation or responsibility for Noxtica. In the event of any discrepancies or inconsistencies between a translation and the English version, the English version shall prevail.
